SIMPLE BEGINNINGS
We set out in 2019 as a small group of scientists and entrepreneurs with a simple goal: to make cannabis products that we’d be proud to put out into the world.
After 9 months of careful development, Volta Biotech was launched. Immediately consumers took notice and fell in love with the product for its certified potency flavorful taste and informative packaging.
WHY THE NAME VOLTA?
Volta was one of many code words used to protect trade secrets at a sister company. Our founder Ryan Sparkman would search through code name lists or maps to find unique names that are easy to pronounce and memorable so people would use it. Volta was a favorite code name with a personal history.
Also of note, Alessandro Volta was an Italian physicist, chemist, and pioneer of electricity and power who is credited as the inventor of the electric battery and the discoverer of methane.
MISSION
Volta aims to create a business that lifts up those around it and make products that we are proud of.
